The objectives of the CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course are to provide an understanding of:

health and safety law and how it applies to supervisors
your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safely
risk assessments and the need for method statements
effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings
monitoring site activities effectively

Assessment

The CITB SSSTS course is assessed by a short (25 question) multiple-choice exam and a tutor review. This may include short-answer tests, oral questions and answers, simulated practical exercises, role-play and problem-solving activities.

Validity

Certification is valid for 5 years. To remain certified you will need to take the refresher course before the certificate expiry date
